Brow Well

The Brow Well service in memory of Robert Burns

One of the last things Robert Burns did was to visit the Brow Well on the Solway. He was advised by his doctor to wade in the sea for his health, but it made him worse and he died three days later. 2026 marks 230 years since the poet’s death and Burns club Presidents from all over Scotland were present at the Well, to mark his passing and pay tribute. There on the Solway, there was no shortage of presidential chains!
