Aileen Brewis lives in the tiny village of Ardwell south of Stranraer.
In her professional career she was a senior communications and media advisor for both national and local government and also worked with charities and multi-agency organisations. She was involved in the development of wide-ranging events celebrating the incredible achievements of many diverse groups and individuals.
Now 'retired' from work Aileen maintains a keen interest in all aspects of life within Wigtownshire including the Armed Forces, veterans groups, cadets, council services, health services and voluntary groups. She is a Trustee, Patron and supporter of many local and national charities and organisations.
Aileen is married to Chris Brewis, they have two grown up children and two adorable, and extremely lively, grandchildren who now live nearby and keep 'grandma' on her toes!
