Angus H Ferguson, Deputy Lieutenant

Angus is an energetic entrepreneur, having founded Demijohn, the World's first liquid deli, in Edinburgh jointly with his wife Frances in 2004, which is now run from his family farm near Castle Douglas.

After completing a BA (Hons) degree in Industrial Design at Northumbria University, Newcastle, Angus's career started as a Product Designer. He worked in both Italy and locally in Dundrennan, before Commissioning as an Officer in the British Army in 1994 and serving in the 1st Battalion The Black Watch (Royal Highland Regiment).

Angus is a Partner of Glenlair Farming Company, Vice Chair of the Urr Valley River Board, Trustee of the Maxwell at Glenlair Trust with previous experience as a Trustee of The Black Watch Museum Trust.

Angus has three children and has a passion for adventure sports.
